| Description: |
P.A.R.T.Y. takes students on a realistic and sometimes explicit journey to the scene of a mock car crash, they then follow the path of a victim from the emergency room through rehabilitation. Students will eat lunch and experience different challenges they would have to deal with when living with a disability. We also have them go through a variety of tests using the vision impaired goggles and they see how well they actually drive impaired or distracted with a virtual driving game (funding donated for the virtual driver by the Blue Envelope Foundation). The students complete the day by getting to talk to real people that have been affected by risk and serious injury or death due to impairment or distraction. |
