Interested in Starting a P.A.R.T.Y.
(Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth)
Program?
The following criteria must be met prior to receiving approval to begin:

Arrange a site visit to view an existing P.A.R.T.Y. Program or request a 3-day P.A.R.T.Y. workshop provided by P.A.R.T.Y. HQ (additional costs for this).

Submit a letter of intent to P.A.R.T.Y. HQ and include the following information:

where the P.A.R.T.Y. Program will take place (i.e. name of the hospital and complete contact information)
-
name of the person besides the Site Coordinator who will sign the P.A.R.T.Y. Program License Agreement, including complete contact information (usually the President/CEO of the hospital or the Director/Manager of the emergency/trauma unit)

how often the program will run annually (you may not know the exact number but give an estimate)
-
how many schools will participate
-
evidence that you have support from the Board of Education (this is to ensure you have spoken with the school board and have their endorsement)

a list of the presenters who will take part in the P.A.R.T.Y. Program (i.e. paramedic, police, nurses, doctors, injury survivors)

an outline/agenda of your P.A.R.T.Y. Program day

how you will fund your Program (keeping in mind you cannot receive monies from drug or alcohol companies)

operational commitment (financial as necessary) for the costs of your program. Provide letters of this commitment from organizations involved to P.A.R.T.Y. HQ upon request

letters of endorsement and/or evidence of potential involvement from community resources/persons and or organizations to P.A.R.T.Y. HQ upon request.
Once the Letter of Intent has been sent to P.A.R.T.Y. HQ, and we are confident that you have met all the requirements we will send the P.A.R.T.Y. Program License Agreement for signatures along with an invoice. Upon purchase of the License Agreement and return of the signed P.A.R.T.Y. Program License Agreement we will forward the Implementation Manual, National Standards, your Site Specific P.A.R.T.Y. Logo, Pass-code for the Site Coordinators Portal , and other information and resources.
To be considered a P.A.R.T.Y. Program, sites must also comply with the following:

Support the P.A.R.T.Y. Program philosophy, goals, objectives and mission

Agree with and sign a license agreement with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

Purchase the Implementation Package from P.A.R.T.Y. HQ

Accept and follow established P.A.R.T.Y. Program Standards, Mission Statement, Goals and Objectives

Share successes, challenges, etc. with other sites and P.A.R.T.Y. HQ

Use approved P.A.R.T.Y. generic and site-specific logos

Establish a method/plan for coordinating the program. This includes clear position descriptions, a decision making process and a plan to link with the sponsoring agency and participating community groups. Submit this plan to P.A.R.T.Y. HQ prior to implementation for approval.

Sites must participate in standardized evaluation methods created to aid the compilation of evaluation results

Communicate with P.A.R.T.Y. HQ at minimum, on a yearly basis or as requested (may be by email, telephone, in person, etc.)

Submit an annual report of activities to P.A.R.T.Y. HQ, following the standardized reporting tool provided

Maintain criteria of signed license agreement with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

Site Coordinator attends Canadian Injury Prevention and Control Curriculum (CIPCC) Injury Prevention course or an alternative injury prevention course approved by P.A.R.T.Y. HQ.

Submit a site name for approval. Site name should be representative of your local city, town, village or region.
